Good Acronyms Wanted - ASAP Add a comment »

Started by Gabe Gabrielsen, OEO, Local Government Resources

Acronyms play an important part in our modern day communication. Acronyms such as TBA (to be announced), TBD (to be determined) ASAP, OMG, BFF, IMO and SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) allow us to say time and save space.

During my careers – Military and Civilian - I’ve had to learn and use many different acronyms to quickly convey thoughts and ideas to my colleagues, co-worker and friends.

Below are some of the acronyms {just a few to get a discussion started} that I frequently use {many I am sure you are familiar with}. I categorized those I learned in the military. I’m curious what acronyms you use in your everyday jargon. Hope you enjoy and I sincerely look forward to seeing the acronyms you use. Please keep them clean.
